The home has a view of the sea when you walk to the edge of the property- the dune is rather high up, with steps from the neighbours property to get down to the beach. It is not a "swimming" or blue flag beach, but it makes for good quiet and lonely strolls. There were a lot of shark egg shells on the beach during our visit, as well as a number of dead seagulls...not sure why. There are no shops comfortably close to the cottage- closest amenities (and not extensive or impressive) are in Kenton-on-sea and then further to Port-Alfred. I loved to closer to the sea and feel the breeze of the sea. The accommodation was having all that I needed. It just need a stoep or steps from the drive way to the house so that when it is raining one can not be skippering.
