About Namiri Plains Camp

For 20 years the Serengeti grasslands surrounding Namiri Plains was off-limits to tourists. Today, a trip to Namiri Plains offers a rare sight into this incredible corner of the Serengeti.

To minimise the impact on this delicate environment just six tents make up Namiri Plains. They are pitched in a small Fever Tree forest overlooking the Serengeti plains that lie to the north of Gol Kopjes.

The migration sweeps by here from November to June; adding another layer of wonder to this unique camp. With seasoned guides and small groups, it’s a camp ideal for safari travellers looking for a more in-depth African experience.

It is situated one and a half hours east of Seronera.

Romantic: One honeymoon tent, set slightly apart and offering a more romantic experience. Private dinner under the stars (weather permitting) and a bottle of sparkling wine in the room on the day of departure.
