Mphangele Lodge has three bedrooms; two of the bedrooms have twin beds with en-suite bathrooms and there is a children’s room with a single bed. The lodge has an open-plan kitchen which is well equipped, a dining room with a dining table and a lounge. There is a large verandah that leads off the living area and overlooks the Mlawula River. It is a peaceful place to sit back and relax while listening to the birds and watching wildlife on the steep ridge on the opposite river bank. There are huge leadwood trees and lush riverine palms which characterize this lodge.
The lodge is equipped with a braai area, stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, skottle, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Catering can be arranged by prior arrangement. ★★★★★ It is a complete house, with sleeping rooms, living room, stoep outside and even a private deck. We love the place very much and it was a pity that we didn't book for more days. In the park we didn't see many animals unfortunately, but there are. Recomendated! What a nice house.

★★★★★ We stayed two nights with two adults and two kids. The lodge is more like a villa in the middle of the bush! The lodges on this parc are all hidden and all of them unique, so it gives a somewhat exclusive bush-experience. If you seek tranquillity, than this is your place. Staff is very kind.

★★★★★ Mandla was great. The cold water tap in the one bathroom didn't work, but otherwise facility was great. You do get a bit of traffic noise late at night, which spoils the "nature feel" a bit. Our kids loved the fact that we could walk around and observe animals on foot.
