About Mountain Rock Cottage

Mountain Rock Cottage is situated in Barberton which is nestled in the heart of the Makhonjwa Mountainlands in the De Kaap Valley; one of the oldest regions and the core of a proposed World Heritage Site.

The cottage has a main bedroom with a double bed and a children’s bed, and the second bedroom has a single bed. The loft area has twin beds and all rooms have built-in cupboards and linen. There is a boma equipped with a braai and fireplace supplied with wood. The children’s playground is close to the boma and there is also a cold outside shower to cool down on those hot days.

There are many activities to be enjoyed within the area such as some great birdwatching opportunities, self-drive 4x4 routes, hiking, fishing and mountain biking. There is also the chance of seeing small game such as kudu, impala and bushbuck on walks.

What an amazing place to stay! Appreciated the quick responses to booking requests, and Hennie's friendly calls and advice. We enjoyed the rock cottage with it's large stoep and loft for the kids to sleep in, but the great boma and unlimited supply of firewood was the biggest treat for me personally. The kids liked the play area and next time (when it's slightly warmer) we'll try the outside shower area! Excellent value for money.

Ons verblyf was nie baie aangenaam nie .
