"Mountain Haven" is a real gem, for an affordable price. Clean and comfortable with all the basic necessities for a self-catering weekend. Vince, the owner, if asked, will share his knowledge of the rich history and does the Ghost tour, very interesting! If you enjoy nature and the simpler things in life, this is the perfect place to stay.

nature awesome the owner needs to be more friendly and not stereotype is guests informed the tv was not working on the first day stayed for 4 nights and he was gone from the premises no replyEstablishment Response:I found Antonio very friendly and laid back. When I offered to bring another TV(More than once) he insisted it was not necessary.I was on the property the whole weekend (20 metres from where Antonio was staying) except for a couple of hrs on Saturday night, but he had my phone number if he needed anything. After initially greeting guests and explaining and pointing out the many thing...

I enjoyed that there was enough self catering items to cook. There was hot water on all nights and the place is very clean. The lounge area is very cold during the day and night (great in summer!) But a bit too cold for winter - there is a heater though!!! And Vince was willing to answer any questions or show us what's what's in town :) The Guesthouse is lovely all round and easy to walk to anywhere in town.
