About Milibizi Resort

Milibizi Resort is a selection of self-catering chalets in the Mlibizi area that are either privately owned or booked out for visitors. Chalets range from accommodation for two guests, up to chalets which can accommodate larger groups. The Kariba Ferry launches from a dock next to the resort which makes this an ideal stopover when catching the ferry.

Although each self-catering chalet is different, they all offer certain facilities inclusive of the daily rate. All linen requirements are provided and the fully equipped kitchens offer gas stoves, electric deep freezers and fridges. The bedrooms are fitted with window fly screens and overhead ceiling fans.

Chalet attendants are responsible for basic household chores including setting barbecue fires, making the beds and the washing the dishes. One attendant is shared between two chalets.

Although a bit old, we enjoyed the charming style and the friendly people. We did not understand, why the agency charges more than double the price we would have to pay at the resort.

Although the chalet needs some TLC and updating we couldnot fault the friendliness of all the staff and the lovely setting. We stayed for 4 nights prior to catching the Kariba Ferry and the resort is ideal for this. We were offered a complementary boat ride which was fabulous and saw crocs and hippos as well as many water birds. There's also a shop at the entrance to the resort selling basics and beer.

A really lovely place to getaway, the staff were wonderful and everything was neat and clean Bream fishing was great, Tiger fishing a little disappointing. On the down side and not much you or the resort could do anything about was the lack of fuel, beers and supply’s, (ZIM is in trouble) fortunately we took just about everything with us which was fine as we were only there for 5 nights. Having said all that it is a beautiful resort and country and needs to be marketed a lot better, Thanks again for all the assistance from you and Tina in Zim it really was a holiday to remember
