We are close to Blaauwberg beach with its world-famous view of Table Mountain. The flat has everything you will need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
It is fully self-contained and secure, with its own private covered entrance. Guests have use of one side of our remote controlled double garage for secure day and night parking. The flat is totally private, with access via a single flight of stairs. The flat provides you with a full DStv satelite television. We supply linen, towels, soap and toilet rolls. In addition, there is a small private garden for guests to use, and a barbecue facility is available.
There is a little playhouse at the braai area for the little ones to play in. The braai area is available for use by guests daily from 10h00 to 22h00. Watch the sun set from the flat's enclosed balcony with a full view of Table Mountain and the Durbanville Hills. The flat offers safe, clean and hygienic accommodation, and is comprised of an open-plan lounge and kitchenette, both of which are fully-equipped.
There is single bed sleeper couch, with a second pull out single bed in the lounge. The bedroom features a double bed, ceiling fan, wall-mounted panel heater, built-in cupboard with safe, and an en-suite bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. Ideally, the flat caters for a family of four, however it can accommodate up to a maximum of four adults. As your hosts, Merle and James strive to create a friendly, home-away-from-home atmosphere. This policy has resulted in many return bookings over the years.
Being in the Northern suburbs, we are centrally located 18 kilometres from the city centre and the V&A Waterfront, with the Durbanville Wine Route within 15 minutes' drive, as well as one of the largest shopping malls in Africa - Century City. The self-catering flat is also within easy walking distance of Bayside Shopping Centre and many other shops, restaurants, cinemas and nightlife.Merle's Place, is a long standing accredited member of Cape Town Tourism for the past 12 years plus.

Please note that the holiday flat is ideally suitable for a family (Mom, dad and 1 - 2 children), or up to 4 adults (maximum). We unfortunately cannot permit any guests in excess of this.
The flat and its facilities are for the sole use by booked guests.
Visitors are allowed on the premises only with the permission of the owner, and may not overnight. The owner reserves right of admission.
As we are experiencing a severe drought in the Western Cape, guests will be expected to use water sparingly in order for us to meet the water restrictions requirements - level 6, imposed by the City of Cape Town municipality. We cannot guarantee that water supply will be continuous (water may be cut off / or pressure reduced by the municipality without notice).
Payment of any outstanding balance is required on arrival or within 24 hours thereafter.
Use of the flat and its facilities by guests (and any visitor) is at own risk. Whilst the owners have taken the necessary steps to ensure your safety and security, we will not be held liable in the event of any accident / incident / loss incurred whilst using the premises. Parking of your vehicle in the garage / on the driveway, is also at your own risk. Acceptance of the quotation and confirmation of a booking being made will imply acceptance of these conditions.
