About Meerendal Boutique Hotel

Meerendal Boutique Hotel is a seven-room luxury boutique hotel situated on one of the oldest wine estates in South Africa, Meerendal Wine Estate, which dates back to 1702. The gracious Cape Dutch homestead, originally built as the family home, has been converted into a boutique hotel keeping all the grandeur and elegance and combining it with timeless style and ultimate luxury.

All seven of the spacious en-suite luxury suites are uniquely designed and fitted with exquisite furniture, large extra length king-size beds, Egyptian cotton linen and all the necessities to ensure luxury.

The air-conditioned suites are fitted with fully stocked minibars, LCD flat screen TVs with eight satellite channels, and room safes, five of the rooms have espresso machines, while the other two are equipped with coffee machines. The suites are named after noble South African grape varietals of which Meerendal produces many award-winning wines.

The hotel boasts spectacular views overlooking the Boland Mountains and local vineyards and is truly countryside haven just minutes away from the buzz of the cosmopolitan city life of Cape Town as well as the airport. Meerendal Wine Estate further offers seperate wine tasting and mountain biking, as well as a great restuarant on the premises called the Crown restaurant where all meals are served.

The reservation lady misquoted and I had to find alternate accommodation. Thereafter on confirming the booking, I was told all is in order , only to get to the hotel and be told there is only one room booked when I clearly booked two rooms. The hotel manager was not even apologetic. For the three nights we were staying there ,they offered the guest for...
