Kafue National Park
About Mayukuyuku Bushcamp
Mayukuyuku Camp is one of those places that just feels right. The camp is located on the southern edge of the Northern Sector of Kafue National Park, just 8 km from the Mongu road, giving it year-round access.
The large shady trees, the river boulders and rock formations make relaxing days all the more enjoyable, especially lying in a hammock with sundowners in hand. But the area is rich in wildlife, so game viewing is a major attraction. The guestbook is brimming with sightings, especially lions and leopards, with regular views of wild dog too, and excellent birding.
Part Zambian owned, Mayukuyuku has adopted an eco-friendly, community focused approach to tourism, to considerable success. With just four tents, it has just the right mix of rustic charm, fabulous hospitality and exclusivity to make a stay here really special. Situated close to the banks of the Kafue River, alongside a lightly wooded treeline, Mayukuyuku has magnificent views, both up and downstream.
Rates include luxury tent with en-suite bathroom, all meals and activities, bottled water and hot drinks, park fees and permits.
Other soft and alcoholic drinks not included. Lusaka transfer is available at $320 per vehicle. Access to the camp is available 12 months a year.
