About Mayflower Cottage

Set behind white-washed walls in a secluded garden, Mayflower Cottage is situated along one of the oldest roads in Franschhoek.

On arrival electric gates open onto secure off-street parking, followed by a private entrance that leads you through the beautiful garden to the cottage.

The welcoming living area is warmly furnished with a modern, yet country style décor and includes a high-beamed ceiling that enhances the room’s lengthened and light windows.

The bedroom is equipped with a queen-size bed, while the lounge has a very comfortable customised sofa as an optional three-quarter bed.

The fully equipped kitchen leads out to the lounge area, where French doors open onto a shady patio. The ideal venue for breakfast, al-fresco dining and lazy afternoon reads.

The Cottage is a five-minute walk from the historic village of Franschhoek, along with its collection of street cafés, award-winning restaurants, museums and galleries.

The third person will pay R150.00 per night.

We loved sitting under the tree behind the cottage for breakfast, the birds singing around. The deckchairs at the pool were very comfortable, we enjoyed it very much.

Delightful accommodation - the cottage had everything we needed for a perfect stay in Franschhoek. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this property, and it is cosy, comfortable and peaceful. The lovely French doors opening on to a private patio was a real highlight for us and a lovely place to enjoy a couple of sundowners each evening! Position is absolutely ideal to enjoy everything Franschhoek has to offer. Recommend very highly.

My husband and I stayed here over the Bastille weekend. It's in a perfect spot, two roads down from the Main Street. Close enough to walk to all the festivities and far enough to not hear it, when you want an afternoon snooze. The cottage is comfortable, clean and has everything you need for a little romantic getaway.
