About Samango Paradise
Samango Paradise is situated in upper Vumba and overlooks the extraordinary scenery of the Burma Valley and the Himalaya Mountains, with Leopard Rock Hotel and Golf Course in the foreground.
Samango Paradise sleeps a maximum of four people. You can bring a few children under six years of age but will need to bring your own little bed or cot.
For the fit, there is a healthy walk up the Chinawaremba outcrop to enjoy even more spectacular views over Zimbabwe and Mozambique. You can walk to the botanical garden and to the Bunga forest and enjoy this very special little biosphere. It is an ideal place for golfers, birders, hikers, mountain bike riders, motorcyclists and for those who want to observe the beautiful samango monkeys.
Samango Paradise is nestled in a large garden and equipped with two bedrooms, one bathroom with bath and shower, equipped kitchen, lounge with a fireplace and dining room. Bed linen and towels are supplied. There is a washing machine that can be used by the caretaker. The caretaker will work for a few hours a day to keep the house tidy. He also knows all the technical details about the house.
You can use the small television, and there is FREE TV connection, but you will have to bring your own decoder and DStv card. In case of power cuts, the 2.5 KVA generator will power the fridge, TV and decoder and the lights. Petrol consumption will have to be paid for the going rate. The generator consumes 1.5 litres per hour but it does not pull the geyser.
All customers have to go to the central office, called Hivu Nursery to collect the keys and guests are then told in which direction their cottage is. All cottages are within a 5 km radius in the upper Vumba, the office is at the 27km peg on the main Vumba road and is 5 kms before Leopard Rock hotel.
