About Mapito Tented Camp

Experience a true Africa at this authentic tented camp, that together with a beautiful setting and the sights and sounds of nature, offers you a list of modern luxuries and world-class service.

This traditional tented camp is by far one of your best choices to explore Africa’s wildlife while on safari. Sitting snugly in a clearing that’s warmly embraced by protective Acacia trees, accommodation is offered in 13 spacious walk-in tents that create an intimate atmosphere.

Each tent is equipped with running water, flush toilets, a hot and cold water shower, electric lights and mosquito nets. There’s nothing quite like coming back to your camp after a long and dusty day on a game drive for some afternoon tea or coffee and a sundowner. After a hot shower, a crackling camp fire with stars blazing overhead, welcomes you to a night filled with lion roars.

International and local cuisine is served at the restaurant. Breakfast time is flexible according to your schedule, and early morning tea or coffee can be served in your tent. For full day game drives a lunch box is provided, while evening meals cans be arranged under the stars. Excellent South African wines, a variety of liquors and spirits, cold beers and soft drinks are available throughout the day.
