Privately owned and operated, recently inducted into the prestigious Chaine de Rotisseurs and members of Great Hotels of the World internationally acclaimed, Makweti is a prime malaria free destination for the safari connoisseur.
The main lodge is built from natural rock with teak decks overhanging the dramatic Makweti Gorge. Rare African art, stylish furnishings, rich woods, leather and woven textures create a rich elegance. Secluded suites, individually decorated with antique treasures and plush furnishings for the discerning. Amenities include indoor and outdoor showers; Victorian bathtubs, log fires and private decks with sweeping views of the bushveld make this a popular honeymoon destination.

Guests are to provide an estimated time of arrival as there is scheduled transfers to and from the main lodge from the game reserve main gate.

Spa: The joys of a spa are not only for city slickers; inward relaxation is essential to a good safari. Africa’s wild giants do not move at our frenetic pace, so we hardly need add that we offer our guests a most soothing massage.
