The property is conceptualized around clean, flowing lines, a palette of soothing colours, minimalist furnishings and open airy spaces. Its innovative, modern architecture and stylish interiors have received international recognition and it continues to feature in design magazines, fashion shoots and TV commercials.

Situated in a tranquil tree-lined street, Lion’s View is a five-minute stroll from Camps Bay beach, with its signature palm-fringed waterfront and array of trendy cafés, bars and restaurants. A 10-minute drive takes you into Cape Town’s vibrant city centre and its acclaimed V & A Waterfront. At Lion’s View you are within easy reach of it all.

Lion’s View is divided into two sections; the five bedroom Main House and the two-bedroom Penthouse Apartment. Guests can opt for either, or combine them to form an ultra-luxurious, seven-bedroom villa. Guests are ensured total comfort and luxury. A housekeeper is always on hand to tend to domestic needs and a private chef can be arranged on request.

As you would expect from a 5 Star property, the house has all the modern conveniences including an iPod docking station, Hi-Fi, telephone, DStv, DVD players and complementary Wi-Fi Internet. There is also underfloor heating and air-conditioning in selected areas.

The Main House on the ground floor comprises five double en-suite bedrooms, a spacious lounge, a dining room and a fully-equipped, open-plan kitchen. The entrance is via a footbridge that traverses the Japanese koi pond. Furniture and fixtures by top designers, such as Philippe Starck, line the house adding a fine touch of elegance.

The master bedroom, with its raised spa bath behind the bed and wall-to-wall view of the pool and beach beyond, comes with a telescope. Surrounded by the large patio and beautifully manicured garden is a seductive infinity-edged swimming pool that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and Lions Head.

Upstairs is the stylish Penthouse Apartment featuring its own separate entrance, two spacious double bedrooms, two luxurious bathrooms, a lounge and fully-equipped, open-plan kitchen. The unique design of the roof makes the most of the majestic mountain views. The balcony, with its heated plunge pool, is the ideal place to enjoy the sun, panoramic views and the soothing sound of the sea.

The total rental shall be non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the tenant for whatever reason. We recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of the tenant failing to pay the deposit timorously as set out in the above confirmation, the booking shall fall away and this Agreement shall be considered cancelled by both parties. The tenant lets the premises for use as a private residence only. The number of tenants is not to exceed the number set out in the above confirmation. Additional tenants will be charged a pro-rate amount of the rental. Notwithstanding herein before stated, the tenant may sublet the premises on the same terms and conditions as stated herein. During the period of occupation the tenant shall keep the premises and contents thereof in good order and condition and at the termination thereof return the entire premises and contents in the same good order and condition as they were at the commencement of occupation by the tenant. The tenant must report any concerns/defects of whatsoever nature regards the premises within 24 hours after arrival. Failing this, it will be construed that the premises contain everything in good order and condition. The tenant shall be responsible for all costs of any breakages or damage to the leased premises and its contents. A refundable breakage deposit will be charged. R5,000 for the penthouse and R10,000 for the main house. Lion’s View accepts no liability whatsoever in respect of any theft, loss, damage, accident or injury to the tenant, its invitees or any third person using the leased premises whether due to any negligence on the part of Lion’s View, their agents, their staff or otherwise. The tenant will under no circumstances have any claim against Lion’s View for consequential loss howsoever caused. The tenant hereby indemnifies Lion’s View against any claim of this nature made against Lion’s View by any person who is not a party to this rental agreement. The tenant hereby chooses domicillium citandi et executandi for all purposes at the leased premises and accepts the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court, Cape Town for the purpose of any action against him/her in terms of this rental agreement and further agrees that he/she shall be liable for any legal costs incurred in respect of any action instituted against him/her for the recovery of any outstanding amount in terms of this rental agreement on the attorney and client scale including collection commission. This agreement shall be governed and construed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. No parties or noise is permitted that may offend the neighbours or contravene any Law. Lion’s View is a non-smoking residence and smoking is only permitted outside. There will be an R500.00 charge for any keys not returned to the office. The pools at Lion’s View have solar heating and therefore we are not able to control the temperature of the pools. We provide 1G of wireless Internet free of charge – additional gigs can be purchased at an extra charge. We can arrange airport transfers for you and your guests, which we will charge to your account. Please supply us with your flight number and estimate arrival time. If you would like to cancel your airport transfer, please advise us at least 12 hours prior to the transport time – non arrivals or late cancellations will be charged in full.Children welcome.
