About Ledges Retreat

Ledges Retreat is a peaceful guest farm set in a picturesque valley in the Northern Drakensberg. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, with views of Sungubala and Hlolela, Ledges Retreat offers you both a tranquil space to unwind as well as a convenient base from which to explore all that this beautiful area has to offer. Nearby attractions include the Amphitheatre 9-hole golf course, All Out Adventures and Royal Natal National Park (12kms) for hiking and fishing. We are 8kms from the Tower of Pizza, and 7kms away from the Oak and Ale Pub and Restaurant (big screen TV!). For mountain bikers, over 150kms of challenging trails are right on our doorstep, and of course there is plenty of space to just walk, enjoy the view and do a bit of bird-watching!We offer self-catering as well as dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. The resort is under new ownership, and we have recently renovated our self-catering Farmhouse as well as 3 of our 4 B&B rooms so guests can enjoy a comfortable, relaxing break in scenic surroundings. Ledges Retreat has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool as well as a trampoline and swings. Our on-site restaurant caters strictly for guests and provides delicious breakfasts as well as hearty, home-style dinners with scrumptious dessert. Guests are also welcome to make use of the BBQ facilities next to the pool and have our chef prepare their side dishes. The Putterill River runs along the bottom of the property and is a children’s paradise with plenty of rock pools to splash around in – you may even spot an eland or two! Also on our property is the Langkloof, a scenic hike for those who enjoy a bit of bundu-bashing! Wind your way along the Langkloof spruit and up into the mountain, cooling off in the sparkling water as you go. And for those who make it to the top of the trail, a gorgeous rock pool awaits you for the ultimate swim!

Family friendly: We have a swimming pool, trampoline and swings and children are allowed in all our units. We can also provide a baby cot and baby bath if needed.
