About L'Auberge Chanteclair
L'Auberge Chanteclair lies nestled in the Franschhoek Valley, with panoramic views of the vineyards, mountains and valley. The Victorian farmhouse, with its lofty ceilings and light and airy rooms set in wonderful landscaped gardens amongst spreading oak and jacaranda trees, has a very special ambience.
Take a stroll through our vineyard and later, while relaxing by the pool, enjoy a glass of Chanteclair wine. You can also sit in the shade down by the lake and watch our resident ducks and the many species of wild birds that are attracted to the lake. In winter, the roaring log fires offer a different warm and welcoming atmosphere. All our rooms feature en-suite facilities, bar fridges and tea and coffee-making facilities. Some units also have fireplaces, while others boast private patios.
Franschhoek is ideally situated for all of the Western Cape wine routes and is just under an hour from the centre of Cape Town. This makes Franschhoek an excellent base from which to explore the Western Cape and to retire in the evenings to L’Auberge Chanteclair’s renowned hospitality. Stroll through the village of Franschhoek and discover the quaint shops including antiques, artworks, bric-a-brac, and galleries. Visit the Huguenot Monument and beautiful gardens as well as the museum, which is dedicated to the Huguenots.
A true welcome is guaranteed at this Franschhoek guest house, recognized as one of the leading Franschhoek accommodation establishments.
