About Lalalapha

Lalalapha, originally known as the Regent Hotel was established in 1904. Lalalapha provides secure, luxurious accommodation in an established setting, creating a relaxed environment for business traveller and tourist alike. The old hotel has been transformed to a modern luxury retreat situated in the main street of Glencoe. Glencoe is situated a mere 6km from Dundee and approximately 65km from Vryheid, Ladysmith and Newcastle. We are also situated in the heart of the historic battlefields like Isandlwana, Blood River, Rorkes Drift, Elandslaagte and the Talana Museum.

All Rooms are tastefully decorated and are equipped with air-conditioning, DSTV Bouquet, heaters, electric Blankets, coffee & tea making facilities and en-suite bathrooms with bath or shower. Lalalapha with its tranquil gardens offers controlled access, good security and undercover parking. Facilities on offer at Lalalapha include a Lady’s Bar, a Bush Pub, Guest Lounge with plasma screen TV’s as well as three conference venues.

Our Conference Room can accommodate up to 75 guests school room and 110 cinema style. The Lapha can accommodate up to 130 people school room and 180 guest cinema style. Inkomfa the inter leading Venue into the Lapha can accommodate up to 120 people school room amd 170 people Cinema Style.

All Conference Rooms are equipped with state of the art Facilities as well as air-conditioning.

Had a fantastic stay here! Staff and owner all went out of their way to make sure we were happy! They called personally to check we were okay, allowed us to change booking, serviced our room beautifully without moaning about messy kids, and were great with the kids. Outstanding service

Need serious upgrade.Interior (bedroom and bathroom) is not pleasing at all. Very untidy, with urgent need for revamp.Room was a bit filthy, with ants roaming wildly
