Lake Manyara is a small, breathtaking National Park with an immense natural richness, home to over 380 bird species, including thousands of flamingos that tint the soda waters of the lake pink and the famous tree-climbing lions, which for reasons unknown sleep in the branches of acacia trees. Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge is strategically located on the very edge of the vertiginous western escarpment of the Rift Valley, affording magnificent views down across the whole lake.
Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge invites you to an unforgettable safari experience from its privileged location, unrivalled by any other, both for game viewing and scenery. Elegantly designed as a two-level ensemble of buildings, its authentic traditional African-style decorations create a unique atmosphere that perfectly combines extreme tranquility with the best of adventure-packed safari experiences. From its position, all of the lodges’ guest rooms boast stunning views across the tranquil and beautiful waters of Lake Manyara. The spectacular swimming pool, situated in a panoramic setting, is a privileged location to enjoy the invigorating fresh air and the breathtaking views of the Pink Lake.
Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge offers accommodation in spacious guest rooms, each with a private verandah affording a panoramic view of the National Park and the lake below. Tastefully finished and decorated in authentic African style, the spacious rooms are all en-suite and have mosquito netting over the air vents. There is a mix of both twin rooms and double rooms, and wake–up calls can be made on request.
The restaurant is strategically set on the edge of the escarpment and gets its daily produce fresh from the local farm. Professional chefs prepare delicious international and local recipes as per the theme night. The bar is a friendly meeting point where guests can enjoy sundowners and relive their day's adventures and is provided with a superb terrace overlooking Lake Manyara - an ideal picturesque setting to enjoy the taste of exotic drinks.
The exclusive boutique offers local art and handicrafts. In the TV lounge, with selected DStv channels, guests can be kept informed on the events of the outside world. Among the endless services of Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge are full housekeeping services such as laundry and babysitting, on request, as well as communication facilities such as telephone and radio. A professional nurse is available in the lodge for medical assistance, as well as services of 24-hour reception, mailing, currency exchange facilities, fax, and safes at reception.
Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge offers guests adventure–packed and endless activities such as game drives around the lake, bird walks with our resident naturalist, canoeing safaris, boating trips, mountain biking around the park, ornithological safaris, horse riding, and tribal village tours.
