We throughly enjoyed our stay, we felt we could have stayed longer than our 3 nights as there is so much to explore and see. We would recommend Koelfontein to people who love nature, the outdoors and basic, rustic living. We loved the isolation and remoteness and the night sky is the best we have seen, the plant and animal life plus the geology was fascinating. The cottage had everything we required, we did not miss internet, tv or electricity.

Absolutely fantastic. Isolated. So very near to God's creation - flowers, fields, even small buck and others - a small "steenbokkie" visited us. We will definitely stay longer. I think it depends of the type of person you are, if you will enjoy the stay or not. Everything needed was well provided for. The owners made us feel so heartily welcome. Their heart is in this. What a beautiful, blessed place! We did not miss electricity at all.
