About Koedoeskloof Country Lodge

At Koedoeskloof Country Lodge we offer our guests a piece of paradise where they can relax and enjoy a quiet country setting surrounded by the magnificent Klein Swartberg mountain range overlooking the magical Towerkop mountain peak. DwarsBar, our funky onsite restaurant, is unmistakably the central point of our lodge, where our guests come to relax and enjoy sundowners on the deck whilst taking in the scenic beauty of this spectacular valley. A menu of delicious homemade burgers is available ranging from beef, to chicken, ostrich and kudu. We also offer breakfast to our guests. Our 4 double guest rooms (not self-catering) can accommodate 2 people each and are simply but beautifully decorated in our own eclectic style. Ten steps, some without handrails, lead to the rooms. They each have their own separate entrance with access from the veranda which is shared with the main house. White percale linen, fresh towels, complimentary toiletries, fans, blankets & throws for extra warmth, plunger coffee and tea are but a few of the extras in the rooms. We have 3 beautiful dogs, two of which are Rhodesian Ridgebacks and one a Springer Spaniel. They are wonderful creatures and love our guests but unfortunately not other pets, so please do not bring yours along.Campers can pitch their tents on one of the lawned terraces with electrical points, ablutions with warm water showers, loos, a basic kitchen prep area, and access to the communal braai area. Due to the slope of the site we do not offer camping for 4 x 4 vehicles with rooftop tents or caravans. We’re situated in an area that is easily accessible by car or motorbike. Bird life is abundant and completely underestimated in this area. There are various self-drive options including Seweweekspoort with its towering rock formations and diversity of fauna and flora, the Hoeko, Voorbaat and Winkelplaas areas with ambling roads through farmlands and orchards. No matter what you decide to do with your time here, you will undoubtedly leave Koedoeskloof feeling revived, refreshed and enriched with fond memories of a visit to one of best kept secrets of the Klein Karoo."In this case, the journey would almost be as good as the destination."

A great relaxed vibe with friendly accommodating hosts. Well appointed guest house with nothing being too much trouble. Debi and Eugene told us about some beautiful routes to travel in the area which we did and they were spectacular! The burgers were delicious in the restaurant and would definitely recommend this guest lodge

This was the first time we stayed at Koedoeskloof and certainly not the last, Both Eugene & Debi ensured that our visit was a memorable one. Fantastic hosts in a quaint setting makes for a winning formula.

Bôjaankop 4x4 Trail has an amazing history dating back to the 1800s; sharecroppers would drag their bundles straight down the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. The route follows the Gamka River and offers breathtaking views. The tail is...
