Kraaifontein is an attractive thatched cottage that dates back to the 18th Century and is surrounded by beautiful veld. The cottage was built by the settled 'trekboere' and was restored in 1991. The Nieuwoudtville Waterfall Reserve is situated about 6 km outside Nieuwoudtville and is an amazing site after a good rain fall. Guests can also see bushmen drawings, do 4x4 routes and, at night, just sit back and watch the stars.

Accommodation was shocking - not R1200 worth per night. The fridge didn't work, the door didn't even close. Definatly not as advertised.

We were placed in the Kraaifontein Guest Farm and what an awsome place, neat, tidy, everything you want, no noise, no Eskom, hot water enough, comfort of home plenty wood for a huge fire as it was cold - a real romantic little place and the owners, Heidi & Hugo  were friendly & helpfull I recommend this place to anyone !
