About Kia Lodge

Set in the midst of spectacular scenery, Kia Lodge has 40 en-suite air-conditioned rooms. Each cottage is built in a traditional style using thatch and Tanzanian arts and crafts, such as Tinga Tinga paintings and Makunde carvings, giving it a distinctly African feeling.

The swimming pool is spectacularly located on top of a hill, with breathtaking, panoramic views of mount Kilimanjaro, mount Meru, the Maasai steppe, and onwards the blue mountains. From here you can enjoy a sundowner whilst experiencing the grandeur of Africa. The excellent restaurant impresses with its selection of continental, international, and African cuisine. Guests can enjoy sundowners, while admiring the view of Mount Kilimanjaro. There is a curio shop with Internet access; and Wi-Fi access is available in public areas.

The lodge is privately set in beautiful, lush, tropical and savannah gardens, providing a haven for over 100 bird species, making the location particularly idyllic for birdwatching. Located on a secluded hill on a 30-acre estate, the lodge is a convenient three-minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport, and is ideally situated for safaris into Tanzania's northern game parks, and as a base for an ascent up Mount Kilimanjaro.
