About Kensington Villa
Kensington Villa is nestled beneath Table Mountain in the upmarket residential suburb of Oranjezicht. This boutique guest house is the perfect fusion of serene tranquility and cosmopolitan ambience. Built in 1904, Kensington Villa has all the charm, character and grace of yesteryear, yet it offers modern, spacious and stylish suites where every effort has gone into making it a comfortable and happy space from which you will leave rested and invigorated.
Kensington Villa offers two spacious suites, both characterized by its careful consideration to detail, lovely personal touches and little luxuries, such as crisp Egyptian cotton linen. Both suites offer free Wi-Fi and built-in-safes, as well as kitchenettes with microwaves and fridges.
The Pool Suite opens onto the sparkling pool, while the Mountain View Suite has its own private terrace with a magnificent view of Table Mountain. At Kensington Villa, you can lounge by the pool or you enjoy a glass of wine in the privacy of the garden. Yet just around the corner, in fashionable Kloof Street, a great selection of restaurants, coffee shops and cool boutiques are on offer. You are also within comfortable walking distance to the city centre or a short drive.
Kensington Villa is perfectly located to see the abundance of sights both in Cape Town and the surrounding areas. Your host, Synnove Skjelten, is extremely passionate about and has great knowledge of Cape Town, and will be more than happy to give you advice about what to do, what to see and where to eat.
Being an accredited tourist guide and a South African wine enthusiast, she also offers custom-made tours which can be specifically tailored around your interests and requests. In addition, Kensington Villa offers plenty of on-street parking and airport transfers are available on request.
Rates for the Mountain View Suite are subject to the amount of people staying; we advise guests to request the appropriate tariffs.
