iGwalagwala Guest House is nestled in the unique little village of St Lucia, which is situated in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park at the mouth of the St Lucia Estuary. The shores of the balmy Indian Ocean are only a ten minute walk from our front door.Our double rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are equipped with air-conditioning, hairdryers and tea and coffee-making facilities and refrigerator. . We offer the option of a light breakfast buffet, a full English breakfast . We also provide a comfortable lounge and relaxing lawn area next to a sparkling pool with a gazebo . In addition, the guest house has secure access-controlled parking, and the beaches, shops and numerous restaurants are within walking distance.We provide "owner-hospitality" with a wealth of information on the area to assist you in making the most of your stay with us. The iSimangaliso Wetland Park was declared South Africa's first World Heritage Site in 1999. It includes over 100 km of pristine coastline, stretching from St Lucia to the Mozambique border, and includes 38 000 hectares of lake, numerous islands and an estuary supporting a variety of habitats including the Lebombo Mountains, grasslands, forests, wetlands, mangroves and vegetated dunes, with magnificent beaches and coral reefs. This natural diversity creates an environment which is a birdwatcher’s dream, with more than 500 species to be found in the area.
