About Horizon Horseback
Horizon Horseback offers three of the best riding holidays in South Africa. They can be enjoyed separately or combined to make a wonderfully varied African horseback vacation. There is a diverse riding portfolio and with its herd of over 60 horses, Horizon can cater for all levels of riders making it the ideal riding holiday for both novices and experienced riders.
Options on the ranch include horse riding with game, cattle mustering, polocrosse, swimming with horses, gymkhana, western games, cross country jumping, a two-day riding safari and a variety of hacks and outrides across 7000 hectares of savannah ranch. We also offer various horse riding lessons; simply learn to ride or enjoy lunge, flatwork, dressage or jumping lessons. Horse training, round-pen-reasoning and horsemanship clinics can also be arranged.
The Lapalala Horse Riding Expedition is an authentic wilderness adventure set within a core area of the UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere Reserve. This African horseback safari combines responsive well-loved horses with the magic of riding with game in a stunning wilderness area. Highlights of this horseback safari include riding with black rhino, exploring ancient bushman sites, meals from the campfire, the magical sound of the African bush and sleeping under the stars.
The Dinaka Luxury Riding Safari provides guaranteed quality game viewing on horseback. Diverse and rare game species that can be seen on this fertile reserve are buffalo, white rhino, hippo, giraffe, zebra, leopard, crocodile, ostrich, warthog and over 20 species of antelope including the endangered sable. The abundance of game ensures you will experience the exhilaration of cantering amidst herds of antelope. There is comfortable lodge accommodation which overlooks a hippo dam and is yet another highlight of this amazing African horse riding safari.
