About Honne-Hemel: Bacchus

Honne-Hemel Self-catering Accommodation is the ideal getaway for the whole family.

We have two self-catering, six sleeper holiday homes, each with spectacular views of the ocean and only minutes away from the beach. The two houses are named after our beloved pets already in “Honne-Hemel”. Small house trained pets welcome with prior arrangement.

Bacchus is a three bedroom house; the main bedroom has a double bed and the other two bedrooms have twin single beds. One bathroom; shower and bath, as well as a separate toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, all crockery and utensils as well as braai equipment. The dining room has a six-seater table and a lovely fireplace/ braai. The lounge area walks out onto the front patio with a sheltered braai and spectacular sea views. Another sheltered braai area in the backyard for the not so good weather days. DStv; Family Package included. Lock-up garage and fully fenced.

If you want privacy, beautiful sea views, safety for kids and pets; this is the place to book your holiday.

Family friendly: Watching the sunset from the patio, walks along the beach, the braai on the beach - feeling safe and relaxed. You will remember the taste of fresh crayfish and mussels collected from the rocks. This makes this little village such a great experience.

      3 reviews

Spitfire Rock is an excellent location to take interesting photographs. Spectacular “spits” and sprays can be seen as the sea blasts against this rock.

      Aristea Shipwreck

      (0.6 km from Hondeklipbaai)

      3 reviews

The Aristea was once a fishing trawler belonging to I&J. It survived WWII but not the mishandling by her tipsy captain along the shores of Hondeklip Bay. She ran aground on the 4th July 1945. This place was added by K9 Cottage.

Hondeklipbaai Lighthouse beams light flashes and a fog signal warning ships passing Port Nolloth along the West Coast that there is imminent danger. The new white and red tower was constructed in 2006 to replace the old stilt structure that...

The Dog Stone is a big gneiss rock that so closely resembled a dog, it inspired Thomas Grace to name Hondeklipbaai, which means “Dog Stone Bay”. In 1853 the “Dog” was defaced when its ear was chopped of and taken to Cape Town in order to start the...
