My husband & I stayed at Holhoed for 2 nights & really enjoyed our time there. The accomodation was immaculately clean, cosy & comfortable. Our stay was so restful & peaceful that we would have liked to stay longer. Sitting wrapped in blankets, gazing up at the star-filled night sky, in the company of a friendly, very fluffy cat was magical. The days were spent exploring the farm in the company of a friendly very active little jack russell. One forgets how hectic the pace of Life is in the city & this opportunity to opt out of the rat race, recharge our batteries & reconnect with each other,...

The lovely, large farm house is beautifully decorated and well equipped. Our hosts, Adriaan and Michele, were most attentive and helpful. Holhoed Guest Farm is an excellent base to visit the Tankwa Karoo National Park, and to enjoy the quiet open spaces of the Karoo, with the Karoo Highlands weather. We enjoyed hiking up a nearby hill and exploring the spring vegetation that is surprisingly diverse when viewed up close. Next time we will take our mountain bikes along for some easy rides on the farm roads.
