About Hilltop Cottage
Hilltop Cottage, which is the only cottage on the farm (Farraway Farm), was built in 2013 on one of the highest points of the farm. There are breathtaking views from the cottage of the valley and Drakensberg mountains.
The farm is 90 ha, and neighbours Parks Board land which borders Lesotho. A km of the Mzimude River runs through the farm, and there is a large dam on the farm. The circumference of the farm is about 5 km.
Hilltop Cottage has two en-suite bedrooms and a large living area with a fireplace. The cottage is luxurious, quiet and very private, no buildings can be seen from it. It has its own fenced garden that is about an acre, and is about 200 m from the main house.
Hilltop Cottage is fully equipped and beautifully furnished, including a flat screen TV with a premium DStv package, plentiful (free) supply of firewood, percale linen, very comfortable beds, electric blankets, in fact everything you’ll need to enjoy your stay with us.
