About Hanover Lodge Hotel

Experience the tranquillity and hospitality of the Karoo in this family run hotel. Hanover Lodge Hotel provides comfortable, quiet, en-suite accommodation to rejuvenate body and soul. Enjoy tasty home-style meals and personal attention from management and staff. Refreshing drinks are served in the characterful fully licensed pub or on the shady stoop, an ideal spot to observe Karoo country town life.

Cool off in the swimming pool or laze in the tree-filled hotel garden. In winter, the snug lounge with its supply of interesting books and games makes a relaxing spot to unwind.

The Hanover Lodge Hotel is the only example of an Art Deco styled building in the town where the mostly typical Karoo-style architecture dating from the 1800's makes for an interesting stroll around the town - the Dutch Reformed Church is a particularly beautiful building. The hotel provides off-street parking, child and pet friendly, family, pensioner rates and 24-hour reception. Quoted rates are for bed only.

Optional breakfast and/or a Karoo-style set dinner are served in our dining room on request.

the bed was very soft and could do with replacing.

We could not stay in Hanover hotel it was just so bad, but the positive is that we drove further and Marina''s guesthouse on Safaris website too accommodated us. Wow fantastic is all I can say. I phoned them 10.30 at night,  they were friendly and accommodating,  they waited for us until 11.30, Saag gave us the secure parking we requested. The unit self was perfect, neat, clean. It was such a relief to be able to sleep there after 12 hours on the road and our scary experience in Hanover .I will definitely sleep there again and recommend it to everybody I know.A Big thanks to Saag.

Hi,I would like a refund for the R900.00 I paid please.  I did not sleep there. I specifically asked for secure parking when I booked and said we will have a big trailer.  I was told that there were secure parking for the trailer. Not true, we would have had to park in the street had we stayed there. 10 o clock at night the street in front of the hotel where we were supposed to park were full of drunk people,  drunk people were in and out of the hotel all the time. Our room were next to a room were loud music was playing all the time.  I was horrified to think that a place like that actually...

Don't ever stay in this place, horrible is an understatement. We arrived at 10 in the evening,  didn't feel safe,  the place was full of drunk people from the street,  had no secure parking. We did not sleep there, just left, drove to Richmond to sleep there. I want my money back,  this place should not be on Safari at all, It's gives Safari a bad name. The one star I gave is not true at all, I only clicked it because I had to.
