About Gourikwa Reserve
Gourikwa Nature Reserve is situated close to Gouritsmond in the Hessequa District. It offers quality accommodation with beautiful views of the Indian Ocean and is ideally suited for guests looking for a peaceful atmosphere while enjoying nature.Accommodation comprises 6 Gourikwa cottages that can accommodate 2 to 4 guests, 9 Fisherman Houses and 15 Single Villa’s. The Fisherman Houses are secluded units that offer 2 bedrooms each, with 1 unit sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms.The Gourikwa cottages 2 bedrooms, accommodating 4 guests. The Honeymoon Suite has 1 bedroom, accommodation 2 guests - perfect for a romantic getaway.The Villa rooms are 2-sleeper, open-plan units, either as double or twin bed.Gourikwa offers WiFi facilities to its guests.The reserve is also the perfect setting for a beachside wedding. The picturesque chapel, with a thatch roof and bell tower, is a mere 50 m from the shore. Within walking distance from the chapel is a banquet hall, which can accommodate between 180 - 200 people. The pool house can be utilised as an additional bar facility with restrooms. Gourikwa’s conferencing facilities are ideal for groups or corporates and can facilitate up to 50 people. Being an isolated reserve, groups get the chance to experience a true escape making team-building, training or motivational talks so much more effective.Gourikwa Nature Reserve is the largest private nature reserve along the South African coastline. It extends over 2455-hectares and stretches 5 km along the Indian Ocean. The reserve is fully fenced along its 15 km perimeter and only accessible via 2 gated entrances.
Safari: Guests are more then welcome to make use of their 4x4 vehicles on the tough, yet sandy terrain.
Wedding Venues: The chapel next to the beautiful Indian ocean is an fantastic opportunity for couples to tie the knot.
Conference Venues: Conference venue can accommodate up to 50 delegates - fully equipped with a small kitchenette to make use of.

There are no shops at the reserve, please purchase your provisions on the way. Please note there is no cell phone reception on the reserve. Please note the beaches are not suitable for swimming its a very rocky shore line, there is however a pool you are welcome to use.
