Its the perfect countryside escape for city dwellers. We were looking for a simple place in the countryside to spend the weekend with kids, and to let them experience some wildlife and nature. The cottages were very basic, but neat, clean and comfortable. The wild life provided excitement for kids and adults alike, and we enjoyed some relaxed biking and hiking. The town and wine farms were just a few km away so everything easily accessible.

We loved having a braai, in fact, having all meals while sitting on the stoep looking at the animals just a few metres away. This is a very nice place to go to to simply relax and spend time with loved ones. The cottage was clean and well equipped - we had a lovely stay!

We were disappointed with the cottage. When we arrived we had no idea which cottage we were in. There were 4 in a row, and all were open. We had no documentation telling us which one we were staying in and no-one was there to greet us. We texted the owner and never got a reply, and there was no reply to a phone message we left (at a cost of £4 a minute!). The cottage was very basic. After a 4 hour journey we were dismayed to have to search through a scruffy file of leaflets to find any information about the town and places to shop for food.
