About Foster’s Manor Ostrich Feather Palace
Foster’s Manor (Ostrich Feather Palace), build in 1904, is an establishment of South Cape TVET College. Charles Bullock, the great British sandstone architect, was the creator of the building. James Alexander Foster, a local attorney, instructed Bullock to design a double-storey mansion for him. Foster called the mansion ‘Rus in Ubre’, formally known as Foster’s Folly and later renamed Foster’s Manor. The Manor is a National Monument and has recently been restored to its former glory.
