About Finchley Farm Cottage

Finchley Farm is conveniently located a short distance outside of the little Karoo town of Willowmore in the Eastern Cape Province, along the Prince Albert Road.

Both beautifully restored farm cottages are fully equipped for self-catering and date back to the late 1800s with their interiors tastefully furnished with numerous historic items that adjourn the walls and lower surfaces.

Set in a shady garden of a homestead, the location of the cottages makes it suitable for rustic and a bit of rural living for the visitor looking to experience a real Karoo farm stay, with all the ins and outs of life on a working Karoo farm.

Family friendly: The grounds have a jungle gym and a large lawn for playing. It's a safe and peaceful environment

A lovely oasis in the countryside around the small, isolated village of Willowmore. We were greeted by our hostess on arrival, and helped to settle in. The "small house" was very nice with a large bathroom, a comfortable living kitchen-lounge area with all the self-catering equipment one needs, and a bedroom which was a little bit restricted for space. We are very grateful to our hostess for helping us to locate and buy a new car battery on a public holiday when even Oudtshoorn was closed, and even offering to go and fetch it, but we saved her that extra trouble. The cottage was simply beautiful. We could not fault anything and enjoyed our overnight stay immensely. The hosts were welcoming and allowed us to roam the gardens and farm.
