About Farr Out

How does the crayfish get onto the plate? You will experience personal contact with the local fishermen when they land their boats onto the beach and proudly display their catch of the day. Get excited and choose the correct size of crayfish to suit your appetite. You may want to partake in first-hand preparation until the fresh crayfish will be served onto your plate. All this does not have to stay a dream, it can be real at Farr Out!

Stunning indigenous wild flower carpets between the end of July and October will astonish you, while bird-lovers can discuss 225 different species, and Cape Columbine Nature Reserve nearby Tietiesbaai offers the last manned lighthouse of South Africa. Strolls along the 8 km unspoilt white sandy beach, frequented by playful dolphins and Southern Right whales in season, are a must.

How about an adventurous beach buggy trip along the coastline? Farr Out offers tailor-made picnic baskets for an unforgettable sunset cruise, or try the typical South African braai or fine dining. At Farr Out, you will relax your mind and leave the hectic city life behind.

Situated just 1 km out of Paternoster, Farr Out is surrounded by fynbos and the Small 5, namely deer, marten, tortoise, francolins and rabbits, with the breathtaking beach only a short distance away. We are also a member of Saldanha Bay Tourism Organisation.

We had a wonderfully unique stay at Farr out. Staying in the Wigwam was a super adventure and something entirely different. We were also highly impressed with our hosts Marion and Deon who made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were also top notch! We will definitely return to Farrout soon.

Wow what a lovely B & B. Superb Host and Hostess - Deon and Marion. We spend 2 nights there, highly recommended, delicious breakfasts, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated rooms. Thank you for the unforgettable stay.
