Greyton is only 35 km off the N2 on good tarmac roads, and approximately 140 km from Cape Town. We at Greyton EcoLodge extend a warm welcome to backpackers, mountain bikers, school and church group and guests wishing to enjoy all that our village and area has to offer. The lodge offers 8 dorms with 6 beds and 6 double/twin rooms. All linen is provided and hot showers are always available. There is a well-equipped kitchen so guests have an option of self-catering. The living and dining area features a large fireplace and internet access. In addition, there is a large private garden, and bike storage with washing facilities.Once a school hostel, now revamped with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and has one of the best positions in Greyton. The small rooms, twins and doubles, are in a separate wing, where the headmaster used to live. This wing has its own kitchenette and bathrooms and all the rooms have mountain views. There are eight dormitories with between six and eight beds. The hub of the village is only minutes away out the front door, and indigenous fynbos a stone’s throw out the back door.Greyton EcoLodge is owned and managed by Greyton Transition Town, an award winning non-profit organisation that is bringing the community of Greyton together to find local solutions to the global challenges of peak oil and climate change. Thank you Janet for welcoming us and offering us heaters for the cold. Well situated within walking distance to the high street. Bedding and kitchen clean. We visited EcoLodge in Greyton as we were doing a hike nearby. We received a warm welcome from Janet, enjoyed the views and had a fantastic time at the amazing braai area outside.
