About Eagle Falls

Eagle Falls Country Lodge is situated between the Outeniqua and Kammanassie Mountains, 66 km from George, 70 km from Outdshoorn, and 80km from Knysna. We are 30 km from Uniondale on the N 9 / R 62 .The road winds away from the Kammanassie River into the hills.

The main house consists of further self-contained accommodation as well as the Restaurant and cosy Pub for those who wish to have farm style meals prepared. At Eagle Falls Country lodge guests can lean back and relax or be part of outdoor activities such as hiking, abseiling, quad biking, and horse riding or take a trip with a tractor to the goats and ostriches.

On the banks of the Kammanassie River guests experience nature in her uniqueness, diversity and nuances. The river has water almost throughout the year and creates the wonderful waterfall which guests can view from the top of the hill near the main chalet.

Seven 4x4 trails were designed for the beginner to the more experienced driver in mind and are within. 30 minutes from Eagle Falls, these trails ranging from grades 2 to 5, occupy time frames of 3 ½ to 7 hours.

Eagle Falls Country Lodge is well situated for day trips into the Langkloof where fruit farms may be visited or fresh fruit purchased from the various farms stalls. In the opposite direction the popular Cango Caves, ostrich farms and crocodile ranch may be visited. Wine tasting of locally produced wines is also available at the various wine farms along the route.

We had a good time and the friendly service of Linda was excellent. She went out of her way to make our stay at Eagle Falls as pleasant as can be.

We booked a chalet with two double rooms, we were ushered into a room next to the bar with one double room and a room with 2 single beds and one crummy bathroom, we considered leaving and traveling back to George to find decent accommodation, the booking was also a mess as we originally booked 3 doubles and when we confirmed, only 2 rooms were booked, on arrival, payment couldn't be verified and they didn't know where to put us,total amateurs, never again.

Chalet No 2 is beautifully situated but final access not currently suitable for two-wheel drive vehicles.

More than enough for an army. Thanks for that. The chalet was also very neat and tidy. What a...
