About Die Skulphuis

Nestled in the quiet seaside suburb of Melkbosstrand, this cosy yet spacious house gracefully merges all the atmosphere of a West Coast beach house with modern family-friendly, self-catering convenience. Die Skulphuis is situated within walking distance of the beach, has limited sea views from the deck, and offers self-catering accommodation to corporate, holiday and weekend guests for up to six people.

The house comprises three comfortable double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a modern open-plan kitchen, a dining room, and a comfortable family room with an HD flat screen TV, DVD player, and satellite channels. Guests can relax on the wooden deck leading off the family room, whilst listening to the sounds of the ocean and seagulls.

Die Skulphuis boasts classical West Coast d├ęcor to ease you into your truly Capetonian experience. The lock-up-and-go effortlessness ensures that you get to savour all that Cape Town has to offer, all within driving distance, and then come back to the peace and leisure of home comforts.

Beach lovers will enjoy the picturesque Melkbos beach just across the road from Skulphuis, with its long white stretches of beach and panoramic views of Table Mountain, Table Bay, and Robben Island. It is the perfect setting for an intimate picnic or a relaxing sundowner, and since Melkbos is a westerly-facing beach, you can also watch the sun melt into the Atlantic Ocean.

Difficulty in communicating with the owner - before and during our stay. Television not working and not put right.

We've had an amazing experience staying at the skulphuis for a week. It is fully equiped and very close to the sea. The house has got so much character! Loved every minute there! Would recommend to anybody and we will most definitely go back there for a visit. Thanks to Carin for renting the place to us.

My girlfriends and I needed a home away from home to stay whilst they visited me from Durban. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely beachy feel to this pristine holiday home. We spent sunsets on the beach which was only a few steps away and braaied on the very social patio whilst waving to the neighbours. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely hire The Skulphuis again.

We had a great stay. Great location, and the owners went out of their way to make us feel at home.
