About De Oude Pastorie Victoria West
This is a charming guest house situated in Victoria West, a peaceful Karoo town on the N12 highway. It is within walking distance to the Apollo Theatre, the only art deco theatre in the country.We offer five guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms and private entrances. Each room is equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a fan and electric blanks are also available for the cold winter nights.Guests can also relax in the comfortable lounge area with a TV and a fireplace, or enjoy the braai facilities. We serve a delicious Karoo dinner with lamb chops or venison, as well as desert.There is a playground on the premises as well as show poultry, we find that children love it.You can also enjoy some refreshments in our tea garden from the 1st Dec 2016. Safe parking is provided on the premises.De Oude Pastorie was the first residence of the Dutch Reformed Church in Victoria West. The building plans of the church and the residence were accepted on the same night, in September 1846. According to the minutes, the cypress trees in front of the house are even older than the building itself.
Golf: We are about 2km from the towns golf course.
Family friendly: We love children and have a big yard where they can play an make use of our playground. We also have some show poultry and we find that they, and the parents, love it. We also have some children books for story time.
Romantic: We have a lovely lounge with a fire place .
Covid Safety Approved: Our staff use masks and are trained on COVID-19 preparedness like hand hygiene, social distancing, and wearing masks and we clean our rooms with disinfectants, like always. Our rooms have private entrances that also helps with social distancing.
