About Conservation Academy
Conservation Academy is a wildlife management and conservation academy offering accommodation for school groups and individuals looking for basic, no-frills accommodation. The accommodation available sleeps between two and seven guests in Self-catering Units and Dorm Rooms.
The Self-catering Units are all equipped with comfortable beds, with bedding provided, and a fully equipped kitchen. There are no TVs and no towels are provided, however the Dorm Rooms and Silo Room all have tea and coffee-making facilities. Meals are provided on request for groups and laundry can be done in nearby Grahamstown.
Guests can explore the numerous walking and hiking trails and get to know a bit more about the conservation projects the academy has to offer. Nearby, guests will find the Addo Elephant National Park, Shamwari Game Reserve, and horse trails. Don’t forget about the annual Grahamstown Art Festival in mid-winter.
Wedding Venues: Simple small wedding venue. Green Shed - eating/living area seats 30-40 at tables. Stage for wedding table. Power. Equipped kitchen. No chapel on site (closest Grahamstown). Seating on outside verandah. Overnight accommodation.
Conference Venues: Green Shed - venue for small wedding party meetings AGMS etc. Tables + chairs for 40. Shed seats 50 without tables. Stage for staff/committee/VIP guests/speaker seating. Equipped kitchen. Tea/coffee eats provided on request. Plug points. Braai area.
Family friendly: Units sleep families together or apart as they are located close together.
Payment in full before arrival. No card facilities.
