Architecturally designed in modern Bali style, Coco De Mer is the epitome of Boutique Hotel elegance. It towers gracefully over Ballito’s Compensation Beach Road. The Hotel overlooks the beach and manages to retain a certain amount of rural charm as it nestles against a backdrop of thick coastal forest vegetation.Meticulous detail has gone into the finishes of this sixteen-bedroom sumptuous establishment. Each suite includes an array of features from wine racks to mini-bars. The bedrooms are either sea or forest facing and very little traffic noise penetrates the rooms.           I booked a room with disability facilities, and was ensured that it would be so. However, when we arrived at the so called disability room, there were no grab rails, the toilet was low, no assistance to get up from it, no stool in the shower and no hand held shower, only a rain shower too high to reach. This situation needs to be seriously addressed because it is fraudulent to advise that there are disability aids, but there are none. The establishment is very nice but there are no disability rooms in spite of their declaration that there are.

          Stunning rooms that at first impression look very clean. However, as you spend time in the room you find dust on the clothing casts and in our case cigarette ash in the board of the bath tub.Friendly staff that really makes you feel welcome.The garden is stunning as well as the views.The restaurant staff needs to be more friendly and helpful. The food is good not great. During the day the bar team needs to be more attentive to guests when they are on the swimming pool to come an offer drinks.
