About Castaway Fishing Lodge
Castaway Fishing Lodge is owned and managed by dynamic husband and wife duo, Bruce and Caroline Horner. Caroline is responsible for the beautiful décor and homely charm that the lodge has become so well-known for whilst Mr-Fishing-King himself, Bruce Horner, takes care of the reason the guests come in the first place, and that is to fish with a maestro that knows these waters like the back of his hand.
Within 2 km of Castaway Fishing Lodge you will find a plethora of attractions; La Plaine St. Andre Rum Distillery and Creole Restaurant, a restored heritage site dating back to 1792, see how the world-famous Takamaka Bay Rum is made, enjoy a delicious meal, explore the grounds or simply relax with an amazing cocktail in a beautiful setting.
Anse Royale Beach, which many consider to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Mahe, lies spread out over 2 km of white sandy beach and you can almost always find a quiet spot all to yourself to unwind. You can also grab a pizza at Kaz Kreol, with their authentic wood-fired oven.
