About Caprivi Mutoya Lodge & Campsite
Situated in a small riverine forest, Caprivi Mutoya Lodge and Campsite lies on the banks of a tranquil backwater of the Zambezi River, approximately 24km east of Katima Mulilo. Mutoya is the local name for “Waterberry Tree”, owing to the presence of these trees found along the shores of the lagoon. Surrounding the lodge are ancient Jackalberry Trees (African Ebony) as well as numerous other indigenous trees, which are home to squirrels, monkeys, a large variety of birds and other small species. Due to the quiet waters of the hippo pools there is also a profusion of water birds, which Caprivi is renowned for. Facilities on offer includes a bar and restaurant, small seating area with books and games and access to WIFI. Surrounding the restaurant is a large wooden deck, with a fire pit, offering stunning lake views. There is also a small swimming pool for those wishing to cool off on sweltering hot days. A variety of accommodations include en-suite self-catering tents, self-catering chalets, and a campsite. For those not wishing to cater, delicious meals are available in the restaurant. The lodge is powered from the national grid (220V/50HZ), solar and gas.Activities include: Boat cruises, fishing, birding, canoeing, nature walks, mountain bike hire and sunset cruises.
Family friendly: The lodge welcomes families with children. For families on offer is cycling, canoeing, nature walks, fishing and for parents, who wish for some quiet time, the lodge also offers babysitting services.
Rates are per person per day, which includes VAT but excludes Namibia Tourism Board Levy – Self Catering & BB - 2% - DBB - 1%
Bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit. Full payment to be settled 30 days before date of arrival.
Rates are subject to change due to any government increases.
