About Buhala Lodge
Buhala Lodge is an enchanting five star colonial style thatch roof lodge, situated on the Southern banks of the Crocodile River. The ample outdoor veranda space, provides all guests an opportunity to relax and dine outside while admiring gorgeous views of the Kruger National Park, and all the wild life splendor it has to offer. Members of the Big 5 are frequent visitors to our property along with many other species such as a variety of antelope.The lodge is a family owned and run business which focuses on guest comfort and relaxation paired with all the luxury you would expect.A fully licensed restaurant and bar is situated at the main building. Buhala Lodge is well known for fine cuisine and our exceptional wine list showcasing only the finest South African wines. Meals are served either al fresco on our veranda, or in our gracious dining room and the whole ambiance is one of casual elegance. Dinners are served in the form of a three course meal with daily menu changes. An a la cart menu is available for light lunches. Our guests have the rare opportunity to play golf at the exclusive Leopard Creek Golf Course. The golf course, usually reserved for members only, offers players a wildlife experience while challenging their golfing skills on South Africa’s number one golf course.Safari’s into the Kruger National Park are arranged and done by our very experienced guide. Early morning walks and even night drives can also be arranged as well as any and all transfers that might be needed.Our open deck bush spa with sweeping views over the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River, provide a selection of treatments for those who wish to relax after a long day.Our rooms are divided into four room types namely Standard rooms, Kruger Park River rooms, Kruger Park Balcony rooms and Elephant Garden suites. All the rooms are beautifully furnished and can accommodate two guests each. The rooms all have tea / coffee making facilities as well as en-suite bathrooms with free standing showers. The Standard rooms have views over the gardens and mountains while the other room types have views over the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River.
Safari: Full day or half day safaris done by our own guide with our open safari vehicle. Safaris are done in the Kruger National Park.
Spa: Our little bush spa overlooks the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River and with the selection of treatments makes for the perfect way to relax after a long day.
Golf: - Access to Leopard Creek Golf Course - South Africa's best golf course - Kambaku Golf Club a short drive away - Skukuza Golf Club, situated inside the Kruger National Park
Wedding Venues: We cater for weddings of up to 50 guests. Ceremony takes place on our beautiful viewing deck underneath the sausage tree and the three course dinner for the reception, takes place on our outdoor veranda overlooking the Park and the river.
Romantic: Beautiful Honeymoon suite with romantic four poster bed overlooking the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River. Activities such as safari's and nightdrives are arranged.
