About Bubuhle

Bubuhle offers comfortable self-catering accommodation on a 15-acre property in its own valley with a perennial tumbling stream and wetland. This quiet, romantic retreat is situated in Hogsback, high in the Amatola Mountains of the Eastern Cape.

Accommodation is offered in three thatched self-catering cottages, namely Hadeda, Loerie and Heron Cottages. Each cottage is equipped with a gas stove, microwave oven, fridge and cooking utensils. Bedding and towels are provided and each cottage has a fireplace and an outside braai area. Firewood is also supplied.

Hogsback is renowned for its scenic beauty during all seasons; the profusion of blossoms in spring, the cascading waterfalls and verdant green of the indigenous forests in summer, the splendour of the oaks, maples and many other deciduous trees in autumn, and the magic of light snowfalls in winter.

Beautiful cottage. They catered for our 4 year old son which was wonderful. The road is pretty bad getting there so please go with a SUV or bakkie.

Bubuhle is a lovely secluded getaway in the forest. We truly felt like we were in our own little cabin in the middle of the forest. We stayed in the hadeda cottage, which was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable, it was well-equipped and reasonably priced. There is also a fireplace inside and outside, stocked with wood every day. The furniture has an old-fashioned charm to it and isn't fancy, but is very comfortable. The road up to bubuhle is veey rough though. A car with high-clearance would be preferable. We made it in our 1.0 engine, but it was a bit hair-raising.I would also advise...

For instance, there are exactly four knifes, forks and spoons making breakfast and tea making (or any meal prepa...
