Die stilte. Die natuur geluide. Geen stads geraas ens nie. Lieflike berg uitsig . Plek was netjies en skoon. Net lekker koud gewees. 'n Kaggel sou lekker gewees het en die voordeur kan dalk skuif tot voor die badkamer. Moeilik om in die winter oggend by die voordeur uit te stap as die nood roep. Sal weer van die plek gebruik maak vir 'n wegbreek naweek. Sal die plek definitief voorstel vir natuur liefhebbers.

Change nothing - a tonic for the soul, and a beautiful spot.Ruth a great hostess.Hint : if you do the trail, leave early and caution for the heat.

The accommodation is very basic (we stayed in the white cottages). The location is awesome - right on the Greyton to MacGregor hiking trail with incredible views down the valley. Pool was cool as was the bed on the stoep and the wind-sheltered braai area. Clean & tidy, though a little cramped and we did have some problems with water.

It was the perfect resting place after a day out in the trails. Rustic, but clean and very well equipped.

The popular Boesmanskloof Trail winds through the only gap in the rugged Riviersonderend Mountain range. This lovely hiking trail links the quaint little towns of McGregor and Greyton. The route can be hiked either way starting at Die Galg, roughly...

                  The Galg Road

                  (1.3 km from Boesmanskloof)

Hike along the road to nowhere – The Galg Road. The original pass from McGregor towards Greyton leads up to the mountains and mysteriously disappears at the edge of a steep krantz. Many local stories speculate about the reason why the road was never...
