About Blue Whale Lodge

Blue Whale Lodge is very centrally located near the Point in Mossel Bay, within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants and all the entertainment Mossel Bay has to offer.

The Blue Whale is a majestic, gentle, relaxed and friendly creature of the ocean; these are the trades Blue Whale Lodge offers to all guests. Enjoy a comfortable stay in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in this historical Victorian-style house built in 1860, lovingly restored to its former wonder.

We offer five comfortable double rooms, all of which are en-suite except one that has a private bathroom. We offer two self-catering family units with their own bathrooms as well. There is safe parking available as well as a swimming pool and braai/barbecue facilities for guests to use.

There are several wine tasting estates in the area and a couple of private game farms for guests to explore.

We love the hosts and the relaxed environment. Improvement can be the blinds in the upstairs bathroom which faces onto the street. People on the street can see into the bathroom as the blinds need to be replaced.

Our room faced the stoep , veranda. The veranda seemed to be the smoker's and social corner. Not quiet or private. It improved when we closed the window and moved the ashtray.
