About Blackwood Log Cabin

Blackwood is a self-catering log cabin that can accommodate up to four guests. It is located high up on the mountain slopes of the Hout Bay valley and offers a tranquil retreat set in two acres of indigenous garden and forest.

The cabin has two double bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. The spacious open-plan lounge has a dining room and leads to the fully equipped kitchen. We provide linen, towels and beach towels.

Guests can enjoy panoramic mountain views of the Twelve Apostles. The wooden sun deck is wonderful for dining and the natural swimming pool has a cascading water feature. There are various koi fish ponds and there are forest and mountain walks on your doorstep. We have hammocks by the pool and a trampoline overlooking the valley.

Colette and family have built a dream log cabin escape, perfect for couples on a romantic getaway, or families like mine. We came with our 3 year old daughter. Beautifully built with all you need for a comfortable, relaxing time. One memory which stood out for me, was my fiancé bathing in the bath in the main bedroom, whilst my child was lying in the hammock. I was cooking dinner and all of us seemed so relaxed, Having...

The hair ended up in our food and drink all the time.At ou back door there was a container with broken beer bottles, sigaret buds ect that stood there throughout our stay, quite a big hazard to the...
