REPLIES TO REVIEWS:

1) KEEP US INFORMED. During times of extreme heat and drought in the bushveld, insects are drawn to any source of water one of which is the septic tank systems in the houses. When this happens, a temporary outbreak or infestation of insects may occur. This happens mostly with ants, termites, cockroaches and flies. When these infestation occur, we spray poisons that are specific to the infestation.
As Marloth Park is a conservancy, we are restricted to the use of poisons that have a short biological lifespan and has no secondary impact on animals that may ingest the insects. Infestations tend to spread quickly as the insects reproduce mainly when they have a food and water source. Please let the caretakers know immediately you see an infestation and it will be sorted out immediately.

Safari: Wildlife roam freely through the park which borders the Kruger National Park.

This establishment was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The outside are is neglected and needs some maintenance there are a lot of rubbish outside I suppose from guests putting their waste outside like dishwasher sponges and beer can caps, etc. This is quite disturbing I don't know how anyone can make such a mess in nature where there are a lot of wild exposed to the trash. Bedding were clean and enough. Everything else was in order. I hope the owner will keep his word by paying back the refundable breakage fee (which went up with R300 and came to a total of R800 after I made the...

We did not stay. I contacted you, the caretaker and the owner on the day of check-in and none responded - not even on voice messages. I left and booked in at Kruger Park Lodge. The place was rat infested and the bedding totally unacceptable - the house was a health risk. I finally got hold of the owner. I have send him photos and he was not aware of the state of the house. I was refunded and he is now busy cleaning and upgrading the place. It was not worth a star at all! What you see is not what you get!
