About Antbear Lodge
Antbear Lodge is an owner run venue that just oozes hospitality. The wood work is quirky and inspiring and is all hand made on the property. The en-suite rooms are smartly appointed with fireplaces and Jacuzzi spa baths. We also have a luxury cave with glass doors opening on to a wooden deck with hammock chairs and a panoramic view of the Drakensberg Mountains. Meals are prepared with a real South African flare and the organic vegetable garden contributes a lot to the ingredients we use. We have our own chickens for eggs, cows for milk, bake our own bread and even make our own cheese.
We have just the perfect place for a honeymoon or special occasion. We are a small Lodge (only 15 suites) and we let our guests feel welcome in quiet and private surroundings. The cave is such that you can even have a candlelit bath while sipping champagne from the Jacuzzi spa bath right in the bedroom. The room is eccentrically furnished with homemade bed and cupboards. We cook great food which is the finishing touch to a perfect honeymoon or special occasion.
We offer horse riding on the farm as well as hiking on the farm.
We are an easy drive to Giant's Castle and Kamberg Nature Reserve for hiking and Rock Art viewing as well as to the Midlands Meander for arts and crafts.
