About Amani Mara
Amani Mara is situated in the world-famous Maasai Mara. Set upon one of the most beautifully located sites, Amani Mara boasts luxury rooms, each with their own private veranda overlooking the breathtaking views of the African landscape; a mixture of plains, bush, water and lots of game.
The Swahili word "Amani" originates from Arabic, meaning peace, desires, wishes, aspirations. This carefully chosen name reflects our desire to provide the perfect holiday experience for our guests. It also reflects our aspiration to be an environmentally conscious safari camp that provides you with all the luxuries you require with minimal impact on the environment around us.
There are nine very beautifully designed rooms, built partially in stone, canvas and hessian; a unique and eco-friendly construction. King-size beds made from olive wood feature in all of our rooms, which are en-suite with a well-appointed toilet, hot water shower, twin wash basins, bathtub and dressing area. Five of our rooms feature an outside bathtub with lovely views of the plains beyond, great for a warm romantic evening, while the other four, though located inside the rooms, still offer the panoramic views of the African bush.
The main decking area offers great panoramic views of the river, plains and bush and there is always game for the guests to view when on the deck. The main seating area has ample space for guests to relax. Equipped with a fireplace, the lounge provides guests with an intimate atmosphere for the evenings. There is also a small library for guests to browse through books and magazines.
Dining at Amani Mara is exquisite. Our chefs use the freshest local produce to prepare a blend of both local and international mouth-watering cuisine, catering for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
As we are situated in one of the most beautiful and serene places on earth, you can simply relax at the beautifully crafted swimming pool at the camp with excellent, unobstructed views of the river and plains beyond. This is a great area for guests to unwind, cool down and take in the wilderness.
For some, a holiday is a chance to relax and unwind from the daily grind. For others, it's a chance to experience new cultures and make new and exciting memories. At Amani Mara, we aim to cater for everyone.
